best time to book last-min holiday, the day before you fly?

    Hi all,

    have the 1st week off in Oct(sat 3rd-sun11th)
    want a last min sun holiday. cheap & cheerful

    is it better to book last min on the day before you fly to get the very cheapest price? ie book on the fri.. or will the prices vary much in the space of a few days?

    I often book late especially for skiing but it's high risk so having a plan B is advisable and be prepared to spend a good deal of time online as the holiday day nears. If you do see a bargain don't go off and discuss it [I know !-] book it there and then. I've coming around to thinking cheapo airlines and gtahotels.com are easier and almost as cheap as the last minute sun deals.

    Still it's your money
