Cowel

Folks,

Im not sure which type of Cowel to get for the house.
We have a downdraft - I lit the stove on Friday night and when I went to put more wood into it by opening the door, the room filled with smoke. It was windy outside.

Can anyone recommend a cowel to get?

Tom its a new house so I seriously doubt that. Its a downdraft problem. Nothing to do with a dirty chimney.

Cheers Tom. Would there be any issues with noise from this cowl? The reason I ask is that our room would be close to this.

The workings of the bearing it runs on is noiseless itself, but I think I would be worried about wind noise. Personally, I would prefer a wind directional cowl, less movement and use the wind to draw the smoke away.
