New table saw blade

I am currently fitting a cheap powercraft table saw into a home made bench. I rarely use it thats why I bought a cheap one but want to improve it a bit now. I feel the blade it came with is letting it down. Can anyone recomend a decent blade to improve quality of the cuts. One for cross cuts and one for ripping.

I like the idea of making a 60 quid saw work better than new...

''freud'' make good saw blades and can be bought in most diy stores.
Any blade with 24 + teeth, the more the better and is usually good for both cuts.

I'd give Freud a thumbs up too, ocassionally you may find their blades heavily discounted online, try Rutlands or Axminster. After that it down to appropriate feed rate for the machine to get the best results.
