PCMCIA sound boards question

    Hi,
A friend of mine has an Acer 1360 with a duff sound card which I found out is integrated into the mother board. So the option now appears to be to go with a PCMCIA board. The only trouble is that, from what I can find out, that won't play through the internal speakers. It requires external speakers - more money!

Is this the case? Are there any other alternatives?

    Thanks.
