    Hi Guys,

I recently got an entry level DSLR and would like to get to know how to use it a bit better then the point and shoot that I am doing now!

The Gallery of Photography in Temple Bar are running an introduction to digital Photography and Digital Imaging :

    http://www.galleryofphotography.ie/courses.html

Has anyone done this course or would you be able to recommend a good one?

    Thanks in advance!

    K

I did that Gallery of Photography one a few years ago. Maybe I was just really unlucky with the teacher, but it was poor. There was very little photography, it was pretty much a photoshop course, and a really badly taught one at that. I think the teacher was a graphic designer rather than a photographer, which might have explained it. Really disappointing. But they may have gotten better teachers since then, or put a structure on the course or something.

I did the Dublin Camera Club beginners course more recently. It was good, but like a lecture series rather than lessons. Very good value. Would suit someone on budget who is also teaching themselves or needs a refresher.

Don't know about the beginners course, but have just finished an intermediate course with Dave in Digital Beginners. Well organised, and good at teaching. No hesitation in recommending it.
