first year arts timetable

    was looking at my timetable online for first year arts. my subjects will be irish, german, geography and sociology. just wondering how many tutorials there are in first year. will i have many free classes off etc

    From what I can remember, first Arts is usually under 20hrs a week. (I think 16/18 or so?!) You usually have 1 tutorial per week per subject. Tutorial times can be selected to fit around your lectures.
    If you have the timetable, the hours on that will probably be close enough to your total hours incl tutorials as sometimes a subject will be timetabled to reflect the fact that there is a tutorial - for example Sociology might be timetabled for 4 lectures when in actual fact there are 3 lectures and 1 tut. Does that make sense?
    Don't worry bout it anyway, you'll be there soon enough and will find out for sure then.
