Well folks maybe ye didn't notice but I had to disappear for two and a half weeks to return to Ireland for a funeral and then back to Wellington-8 flights in total, my god am I sick of flying but I did get to sample some different airlines, airplanes and airports.

    Air NZ 737-300 Wellington-Auckland 1 hour
    Cathay Pacific A340 Auckland-Hong Kong 12 Hours
    Cathay Pacific 747-400 Hong Kong-Heathrow 11 Hours
Then Heathrow-Dublin and back with good old Aer Lingus though the seat pitch shocked me!

Returned yesterday with Qantas Heathrow-Bangkok-Sydney 21 Hours 747-400 and then 3 hours on an old 737-300 still with CRT overhead monitors into Wellington. Racked up plenty of airmiles but under different circumstances i'll defo stop for longer in a few cities, 21 hours in the same plane was just horrible even with AVOD :)

Anyone travelling through Bangkok with some time to stopover I highly recommend grabbing a shower for only 5 euros in the transit hotel and in Hong Kong a shower/massage is well worth it also!

Seen three A380s during my trip, Emirates, Qantas and Singapores though due to grabbing the cheapest flights I could I missed out on all. The 747 does feel a bit dated now even with new interiors.

I have to say Cathay Pacific were the best out of the lot, gorgeous new interiors and great IFE, lovely food and top quality service.

Anyways its good to be back home and i'll be on here again as much as normal :)

LOL, you got a massage in Asia? No wonder you're recommending it :D

I managed 3 years ago to blag my way into the VIP section of Kuala Lumper airport by showing the girl on the counter my Student License. She didn't know what it was, she just saw Aviation Authority on it, and let me, and 4 of my mates in for free beer, putting greens, dvd lounges, free food and pastries. All good :)
