is it possible to copy programmes from upc box

I am leaving UPC soon but have about 10 films recorded that the kids watch all the time i have seen people say that the USB connections on the boc are disabled so am i right in guessing there is no way to copy them from the box???? thanks

Only option is to connect a VCR/DVD recording or Computer Video capture to the SCART socket and play and record them.
