Updating my unlocked iPhone

Alright, I have an iPhone that I unlocked myself along time ago using yellowsn0w. I have Cydia and Installer still on my iPhone. Now my question is that I really want to update my iPhone to the newest update cause it really could use an update. It's been about 7 months since I unlocked it and the last update using iTunes would of been prior to that.

I've read that updating on iTunes again will change my baseband which is currently 02.28.00 to a baseband that is unlockable and my iPhone will become locked again.

So, anyone know how to update and keep my iPhone still unlocked? Thanks for any help. If you need more info, just ask.

You can search and download firmware 3.0 or 3.0.1 and jailbreak/unlock using those and an older version of iTunes (not sure if iTunes 9 adds any complications to the mix so it's best avoided until you're done). I'm running 3.0.1 now and up to that, ultrasn0w works fine - for now, you need to avoid 3.1, which is what iTunes will now automatically download.
