Hi all, i`ve booked 6 nights in Cancun next Jan as past of the honeymoon. Now we just have to decide on a hotel. Any suggestions, we`re thinking all inclusive, luxury as we prob won`t venture out too much. So somewhere luxurious, quiet but not dead, preferably adult only.. Thanks for any replies. oh yeah if its all inclusive we`re hoping to keep it under the 2k mark

    Hi there,
I would not recommend Cancun if quiet is what you're looking for. Maybe try Playa Del Carmen which is about 45 minutes down the coast from Cancun. We stayed at the all-inclusive Secrets Capri for 2 weeks last year and it was gorgeous. Loads of honeymooners and even a few couples getting married on the beach. We went to Cancun for a day, but I wasn't really a fan. Very built up and not very romantic. It was €3200 for us for flights and hotel for 2 weeks. Can't remember the breakdown now, but I'm pretty sure that the hotel would be under 2k for just 6 nights.
Oh, and it was voted best romantic hotel in the world on TripAdvisor...

I had my honeymoon at the Moon Palace and it was simply brilliant. The food was to die for, the staff could not do enough for you and were genuinely helpful (and not because they were on the lookout for tips etc), the weather is amazing and you have the opportunity to go to some amazing shows nearby too.

If you want more detailed info etc then PM and we can chat further.
