I am putting together a new wedding/corporate/dance band based in Kildare. I need a guitarist who can play rhythm and lead. I need a guitarist who knows when to play and not to play, someone who has performance discipline and a good professional attitude. I need a guitarist who believes in 'Just because I can doesn't mean I should' when it comes to their guitar playing. In return for this I am offering the following - gigs on the wedding/corporate/dance circuit. We will not be playing pubs. You will not be lugging in gear before or after a gig. Bring your own gear, set up, play, get paid and go home. Bookings and administration will also be looked after. You will be playing in a band with the following line up - keyboards, trumpet, saxophone, female vocal, male vocal/congas, sound/light engineer and of course guitar. Everything else is backing tracked.
    If interested get in touch.

    thank you

    Vinny

    HI Vinny,
have you filled the guitar player position yet... I have been giiging the pub and wedding circuit for a number of years now and I am looking to join an outfit such as you describe. I think I am probably just what you are looking for. When to play and when not to play are the two things I believe are essential tools for any guitar player and I believe I have a really good vibe for that from my experience down through the years. I Have played with the cabafret dudes Laurie Hartz /Fran Meehan in the 80's + Rob Strong and Johnny Logan along with various wedding outfits and pub bands so I have a very broad experience range to draw from. I live in Longford, but Currently I am up and down to Dublin most days so driving is not that big a deal to me.
let me know if the gig is gone or not, cheers,
    Dermot.
