Sweet god this map is amazing with Domination on it.

Step one:
install YOMA addon sever

Download 2gb of stuff.


Add this to your shortcut in Arma Launcher

-mod=x\caa1;x\oac\oac_core -world=empty

play sahrani in all its City glory.


EDIT has everyone got it now? im getting hammered the civilians are rebelling

How complicated would this be to uploaded 2gb to the server ?

Just run the updating program on the server, its Server 2003 same as XP. Its got some serious bandwidth too, Yesterday Kinetic dl'ed 9GB in 17 mins

I've a problem installing this on my pc, there are about 6 files that don't come down properly, well, they come down 95% of the way then just time out. Tried serveral times but they always fail.

try a different server? i used the on in the guide it worked perfectly.

Playing Evolution and Domination on Sahrani with flare as standard and civilians is brilliant. Seemingly servers run a lot better with this map than with Cherno.

i get around 90 fps with everything on very high Vid mem low and PP off.

Ok, got this sorted, gotta admit it plays very well, constant 60fps as vsync is enabled. Should cosider getting this on the server. How did you get Domination to run on the Sahrani map tho?

just dropped the pbo into MP missions then selected sahrani as the level.

The old new mod conundrum, set a date to play it and then change over in fairness everyone will have this sooner of later.


it really is good and adds a whole new view of the game.

Also, adding this mod to the server doesn't mean we can't play the old map. This adds another 5 maps to choose from, all the old ones, Sahrani, Porto, Rahmadi, United Sahrani and Southern Sahrani. It might take a while for missions for some of the maps other than Sahrani to appear, but they will. I'd say everyone will be running this mod eventually

Wow, it's bloody good. It has a far nicer feel to the place than Chenarus with it's drab eastern block buildings.

Something else - the side missions aren't screwed in this. I groaned when a CTF mission came up but I was actually able to take the flag in this version. I'm guessing this is a far more more stable and bug-free Domination than what we've been playing.

That mission where you have to blow up the prison is also working.

I'm surprised my PC didn't go up in smoke all things considered. I would have at least expected photocopier-like frame rates of about 5 pages per minute but it seemed to hold up ok.

Servers fine, I have the options for the other maps logged in as admin but there's no missions for Sahrani on it so I cant test it

I'd say this map will be popular, a search for dedi servers running Sahrani maps returns very few waiting or playing

I've ran the updater on my Sahrani map folder and found updates for quite a few files, these are being updated all the time, You should run the Yoma Addon Sync Server every few days to update the files. I've asked Kinetic^ to update the ones on the server today. You'll get popups if the files are different or missing

Lads, is there any way we can add additional weapons to the map? I know this may open a can of worms with everyone looking to add stuff but someone released a Steyr Rifle add-on. Would be pretty cool seeing as the Irish use it.

They need to be added to the map.

So someone has to open the map in the editor and place in the steyrs then upload the map back to server, anyone without the guns will get a little error when they join.

Has anyone cleared Sahrani? I just realised there yesterday, that I havent been part of a team that has come close to clearing Sahrani. Every town must have about 250 soldiers, 10 tanks of different kinds and then the other day, just as I thought the town was clear, 2 attack helicopters arrived and ripped me to shreds.

Another thing I notice is, the lack of attack choppers available. Normally its "Congratulations, you have cleared the town. Here's a HMMMV". Oh goodie. Normally (in Chernarus), you could take out the AA and then somebody in a chopper could help you out. Or in the good auld days, Max would come in and blanket bomb the town in an A-10 and then people on foot could clear up the pieces.

I think we should make Chernarus domination the default even though its an inferior map...am I on my own on this...?

I'm a bit confused by this. Everything on those guides is talking about servers, I don't want to downloaded 2gbs of stuff only to find out I'm doing it wrong.

Is it downloaded through arma 2 when I'm connected to the server?

No, You use Addon Sync to download it, it puts it in a seperate mod folder. If You're having trouble download the html version

best 2 gb you will ever download.


the addon server is the best as it gets updates when needed.
