Hi I am currently on Sky and thinking of switching everything incl phone and broadband to UPC so any advice appreciated.
One of the main reasons for switching is that i have a roof aerial distributing some stations around the rooms that do not have Sky but the signal is poor on the BBC and UtV stations. I was
told by some people that once you get Upc digital the analogue stations are available on the same cable but when I phoned UPC they said no that
I would have to pay for seperate room installations but I think the girl was wrong but maybe that is what they are told to say, actually she was quite rude for somebody in sales so just looking for some confirmation do i get the analogue signal on the digital cable and is it easy to access many thanks for any info.

It all comes in on the same coax, Analogue, Digital and BB. If you wan extra points in other rooms you will have to pay a bit extra a month.

You can however split the cable from the main point yourself and send it around your house for analogue.

However, it depends on whether you are in a cable or MMDS fed area. Seeing as you already have a roof aerial, it would seem likely that you would be in an MMDS fed area. Whereabouts is your house? Not exact address, of course. But general area. If you were in a cable fed area, it would be unlikely (but not definite) that you would have a roof aerial.

Im in Swords and the UPC is cable fed as far as I know as the cable runs from house to house actually they had to get our permission a couple of years back to run a new cable along the back of our house to supply others.

You can just get BB & phone from UPC, no need to cancel Sky..

    OR
You can cancel Sky and revert to UK EPG and the missing BBC & ITV free (40+ decent TV and 20+ decent radio) and add aerial for the 4 Irish stations

and/or optionally add UPC Digitial TV in another room / main room and have PayTV Sky or Free Satellite in another room.

More BBC & ITV channels on Sat and with C4 and Five are free.

Extra points do cost money on UPC.

The Analogue cable won't be around long and is very poor compared with Digital, esp. Sky/Free Satellite.

If you are on ex NTL MMDS area there is no Analogue on UPC
