    Hi all,

I'm hoping someone will be able to help me out, basically was clearing out my grandads place and his accordion was sitting there so myself and my dad decided we try give it away. However, when we went into waltons to see if they knew someone interested the guy in there said the accordion was worth alot of money. He thinks it was made in the 1940's and its a three row. I have no idea about it other than it has pearl insets.

Does anyone know someone who could value this or someone who collects/sells accordions? From phoning dealers in the UK they say that it could fetch from 5-7 grand but they wouldn't know without seeing it.

Also they all said the biggest market for accordions is ireland

I know an accordion collector, but I don't know of anybody who could give you a valuation.

If its in good condition and is still playable (Eg no holes in the bellows etc) then its worth something.

    But Its anybodies guess...

My dad has a similar 3 row Paulo Soprani from many years back and he said he would get several thousand if he sold it, so yours might be worth several thousand too. Maybe you could e-mail some pictures of it to the guys in the UK who gave you a value estimate

Upload pictures to some file hosting website, and then start a thread on thesession.org . They should be able to ID it and give you more info!

This lad based in Dublin deals in accordions

Might be worth getting in contact and asking advice or something.
