Irish Channels on Sky changed to English Channels

Recently, channels 101-104 on my Sky Digital were inexplicably changed from the normal RTE1, RTE, TV3 and TG4 to the four terrestrial English channels (BBC1&2, ITV, Channel 4). I'm wondering has this happened to anyone else? We formerly got the four English channels around aorund E4 and we always got the Northern Irish version of the channels but now we're getting the London version of the channels. It doesn't make much difference as we've got the four Irish channels on the aerial anyway but it just seems odd for something like that to change all of a sudden. Nothing has changed with our Sky subscription or with our card, etc.

Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know what the problem could be? Cheers.

It has happened to a few people alright, think it has something to do with the new white sky viewing cards.

    1. Take your viewing card out.
    2. Power off the sky box and plug it out from the mains.
    3. Insert the viewing card back in.
    4. Plug the sky box in and power up.

You should be back to the Irish EPG again, hope that helps.

Its to do with the card change,we had this problem except ever 15 seconds "please insert your new viewing card" popped up.We called up sky and explained that this is happening and that the card had still not arrived so guy on the phone contacted the technican who then changed it too stop,For around a week or two it was still British channels and I think we called them again and they fixed it.

White Card change-over completes end Sept 2009 maybe. I'll sticky this for a while.

Thread closed so as to make it clear.
