    hey,sorry i know there is a sticky to prevent a heap threads on cards abroad but a guy in work is being told different things about his card,

    its a laser card with cirrus on the back will that work in thailand?,
    he was told he had to order baht this week if he wanted it for next friday,the bank suggested exchanging €1000 into baht and bringing that with him,is that a crazy thing to do??

    mine worked no problem exact same card as your friend. only thing is im with Ulster Bank and they froze the account til i rang to confirm it was me that was withdrawing money in Thailand. Might be worth ringing and letting them know as i didnt get the message to call them for a few days because of roaming and not having the phone on.
