toughened glass

Just wondering if any one has had any problems with excessively scratched toughened window glass? (all float glass is fine)

I have numerous windows that need to be replaced and am of the opinion that poor cleaning standards during the toughening process left debris on the glass. When glass is subsequently cleaned this debris is dragged all over the glass resulting in very badly scratched glass.

Glass company would argue that its the window cleaners problem

Does anyone know where sample of glass could be sent to to get tested ?

Interested in any comments or experiences people may have on this

Toughened glass scratches easier than normal float glass. It is just an unfortunate side-effect of the toughening process.
But as toughened is required under building regs it is a no win situation.
I have some scratches on my windows as well.
