Repeat Exam Results

Does anyone know when we get the results of the repeat exams?

I had one repeat to do on Monday and a Lab session to finish the repeat next Tuesday, but I'm just curious to know if we get the results directly from our lecturers or posted out again.

    Anyone got any info?

For anyone who passes repeats can get their packs on the 22nd and then register on the 28th, But classes start the 14th so do I miss the first week in waiting for the results ?

    Thanks in advance.

You go to classes as normal, you just gotta register later. You wont get a student card til you register.

The results will be a couple of weeks. I actually think they come out AFTER classes start, and they'll be on the net like the regular results.

Good luck in your lab session btw

i did a repeat subject as well on wednesday.. it went pretty well..

but you say that i have to go to classes as normal when they start again and register late??

what if i fail the exam??i wont know until after i attend the classes??

thats kinda stupid and badly done by the college!

Yeah it is a bit silly. Maybe i'm wong but i DO remember attending clases and waiting for results.

If you fail you can apply to carry the subject into next year, so you just repeat the module along side your others.

Just incase, how many subjects can you carry over?

And if you fail anything in an award year you can only get a pass award if you pass the module/modules you failed.

E.g. if you fail a module in the award year of an Honours Degree course and you sit the repeat and pass it, you get a Pass Honours Degree regardless of GPA.

    Clear as mud, I know.

So if you did repeats do you just turn up for the first week of lectures and hope you passed? Getting it in the ear off my parents about when I'm back and I've no idea.

    Yeh that kind of thing.

If you pass then everything is grand. If you fail, you need to work out what you're gonna do. Whether it be repeat the subjects, year or just carry the fail/s with you to the next semester.

i tried to ring itb a few days ago to ask when the repeat exam results are in.. and a woman connected me to the exam department.. and i had to wait for like 5 minutes and then nobody answered :(

    also on itb.ie it says:

Returning Second, Third & Fourth Year Students
Classes will commence on Monday 14th September. Registration will take place during this week and a registration pack will be posted to students in August.

You are expected to register at the scheduled time set out in your registration pack. A Late Registration session will take place at a later date and a late registration fee of €50 will be charged at that time.

do i pay 50 euro because i have to register late because they are late with the results? if this is true its a total rip off because i already had to pay 50 euro to resit the exam...................

The people who had repeats will be given a different date to register. This wont be a late registration.

    Passed my repeat aswell :D

    From ITB Site:
Students who successfully complete Autumn 2009 examinations, can collect their registration pack on Tuesday 22nd September at 11.30am, from the Academic Administration Office in Block A room A60. Registration will take place on Monday 28th September in Room A57, the time will be set out in your registration pack.

So we register later than the people who did not have to repeat.

But we still go in on the 14th as college starts that day.
