TP BURNER is €169 in McGUIRKS :)

I previously bought most of my stuff from the states but now with DHL playing tax collector and also adding admin charges coupled with Irish retailers reducing their prices it seems we would be better off buying at home.

Back to topic though, I was thinking of getting one of those burners and it was working out at about 160 Euros incl delivery from the states but now I'm thinking more about a Titleist driver.

Getting one in the morning. Currently playing with a 10.5 Ping G10 but im gonna try out the Burner in 8.5 to get a different ball flight on my drives with less spin. Was in Halpenny in Airside last week and they had plenty of them left (30 or more) for any of you thinking of purchasing too. Great Price. Almost too good to pass up.

Thundercat, I play a Tour Burner TP 10.5 with a Fujikira Rombax stiff shaft.

The club is a low to mid launch combined with low spin and typically plays to a degree lower than normal.

I play off a low handicap with a pretty fast swing speed, so the combination of the heavier Rombax shaft and the higher loft suits me perfectly.

The other two shafts avaiable are the Matrix (high launch/low weight) and the Diamana White Board (Low launch/mid weight).

I don't know your ability but unless you have a swing speed in the region of 110mph+ you will definitely struggle with an 8.5 I would suggest trying them out or have some sort of fitting session to see what combination and shaft would suit your swing.

Just another note for anyone thinking of purchasing. The shafts alone would cost you in excess of e240 plus on the TP drivers. Although fantastic value, it's only fantastic if it suits your game and you can actually play with it.

The TP head also lies 2 degrees open, unlike the regular Burner/Tour burner that has a neutral/closed face. If you suffer from a slice than forget about this club, it will kill you. See diagram for launch/direction characteristics.

Cheers for that f22. Good to hear an opinion from someone in the know and someone who has the club.
To be honest im not certain which club is on sale for that price in Halpenny. Its either the Tour Burner or the Tour Burner TP but im not sure which. Ive the day off tomorrow so ill head in and look at what shaft options they have for each loft. My G10 has a V2 high launch shaft so I might stay in and around the 10.5 in the burner but maybe choose a low to mid launch shaft. No point killing myself with an 8.5 in the burner but ill see how it goes.

I bought the non-TP version Tour Burner a few weeks ago. I got the 10.5deg with the stock stiff fuji-something Reax shaft. My previous driver was a TM r7 425 10.5deg with regular Reax shaft. I expected a lower ball flight with the stiffer Tour Burner but if anything it's a slightly higher flight. I'm very happy with the club though. I didn't buy it in the hope of extra distance but have definitely gained a few yards off the tee. Definitely recommend to try before you buy if you can.

Is that not a different club, OP is looking at TP version, link from you is for standard version, I think?

Think it's the tour burner that is cheap in halpennys.
Won a 9.5 degree stiff a couple of weeks ago haven't tried it out yet might give it a lash the weekend
