I'm looking for a brush set, preferably shu uemera or Mac. I've contacted the big department stores in Dublin and they say they don't stock them. They're available on their .com websites but they dont deliver to Ireland. :( Anyone got any ideas? I promised my friend id get her one for her birthday and time is ticking.. I'm not sure if anywhere in Ireland even stocks Shu Uemera, but I know they've been voted the best brush set by In Style magazine and hence my desire to buy that brand. I came across a website www.brush111.com. Has anyone ever used it? They send products over from Japan. Might be a bit dodgy.

I don’t know about the other type but I heard from a reliable source that the brushes from The Body Shop are the exact same ones as Mac but a lot cheaper, so I went off and got myself some and they’re perfect and much cheaper and I’ve had them for over a year now and they wash really well, there is hardly any wear and tear and they are soft and accurate.

I haven't used them but they seem way way too cheap to be real (even taking rip off Ireland prices into account) Considering my eyeliner brush costs the guts of €20 $44 for a 32pc set seems suspicious. Also, I'm not actually sure Mac do brush sets (bar the small gift sets at Christmas)

Decent make-up brushes can be seriously expensive if you're buying loads together. Could you get your friend a few ones from Mac or Bobbi Brown or somewhere like that to start her collection? I really think a full collection of brushes from mac or shu uemara could cost in the high hundreds (the eye brushes alone on shuuemura-usa.com start out at $45 each!) and she might end up with a rake of them she doesn't use as well

I've never heard of that website but you can buy MAC brushes in Brown Thomas in Dublin.

Get yourself to http://crownbrush.co.uk . Mac brushes are a waste of money and Crownbrush resell their own brushes to other companies who put their name on them. They're great quality brushes at lower prices. I have a few brushes from them and a set and they're fab :)

    I second crownbrushes.co.uk.
They are brillaint brushes, i work in a make up salon as a make up artist, I use these brushes and all the girls too.
They work out quite cheap as they are trade prices, so you wont be ripped off for quaility.
I find sable hair, or badger hair the best

I bought all my mac brushes off ebay - can't fault a single one, does the job perfect and for a fraction of the cost! just make sure seller has 100% positive feedback :)

MAC don't sell full brush sets bar the small ones(about 5 brushes I think, all mini sized) that come out at Christmas and sometimes with special collections, so anything that says something like '24pc MAC brush set' is 100% fake, just so you know.

If I were you I'd try sigmamakeup.com as they do very similar brushes to MAC(not identical mind) and have gotten rave reviews on Youtube, people will often show their MAC brush and the corresponding Sigma brush so you can see how similar or different they are. As soon as I have the money I'll be buying myself a full set.
