SKy HD+ installed and connected to UPC phone line?

    Hi all

    Quick question. Is it possible for a new sky TV customer having Sky installed for the first time (HD+) to use their UPC telephone connection (which runs through the broadband cable) for the sky box to be connected to in order to satisfy the contract of being connected to a landline?

    I hope this makes sense and look forward to any response.

    It's been debated here many times recently, but in my experience, there is no need for a phone line, as it seems Sky are only strict on it if you want multi-room.

    In the 4 or 5 years I've had Sky, I've never had a phoneline connected to the box, and the Sky installer who upgraded me to HD 2 weeks ago did it without a phone line, no questions asked.

    it will work through the upc connection. sometimes i had a problem getting it to authorise, but if it failed after 2 attempt's, we manually pair the box and the card.

    dont worry, if he cant get it to connect, he will bypass it and pair it manually.
