Problems getting a letter from CWO for VEC?!

My wife studies f/t at CIT and she needs to get a letter from our local CWO saying how much we recieved in rent allowance payments in 2008 (for grant renewal purposes) but the CWO is refusing to give such a letter - she has said that she'll just provide us with a print out for the ammount of rent allowance we've recieved from 2005 to date. That she is too busy to do any more than that, wtf?!!!

So, we're thinking who do we contact about that? Her head office? The FOI office at the HSE? Local TD asking him to request such a letter on our behalf (that was suggested to me by someone I spoke to in Social Welfare) Don't CWO'S have an obligation to provide you with such information? I know Social Welfare told me they have an obligation to provide such info to a "client". Thanks.

Xiney: But they only want the ammount for 2008, not the total ammount since 2005? They need to make sure we aren't over the threshold for my wife to continue getting her grant (which we're not) but if there is only a combined total for 4 and a half years how will they (the VEC) know how much we actually recieved in 2008 alone? The other years don't count.

the print out should be sufficient. I would think they are just looking for a document.

As previous posters have said the printout of the RA you recieved will be suffice. If you have any probs in getting that - you apply to the HSE health centre for access to those personal records under Section 7 of the FOI Act 1997 and 2003.
