Hello All , I dont know whether this was covered before:o.

I'm looking to buy either the SRC hk416 or the Kwa M4 defender:confused:.

I'm asking for anybody who has either of these two bad boys to help me make up my mind:). Any info, reviews, pro's + cons about these would be great.
    Thanks in advance

Can't comment on the KWA, but the SRC 416 is bloody great!!!!!!!

Have mine about a year now, running on 7.4 lipo battery's, not one day of trouble with it. Only thing I've done with it was replace the hopup bucking and rubber to Madbull ones. In my opinion, well worth the money.

I had the exact same problem as you have!!! I ended up getting the SRC HK416, I do not regret it. Part of the reason was my impatience for the KWA M4 to come back in stock! The gun feels great and is very accurate, I have the 10 inch version, perfect for long range and CQB. The M4 is perfect for long range but not so good for CQB, it does have a better ROF because it takes he 11.1V lipo, in my oppinion it just wastes BB's, nobody needs that high a ROF. The other reason for my decision is that I wanted to be different, the amount of M4's around is unbelievable, nearly everyone has owned or owns an M4!!!

Just to throw in, i have the kalash, err dboys, errkalboy whatever HK416, the latest one from eirsoft, and shes an absolute beauty. Full metal, full trades, dead on accurate (straight out of the box i was hitting apples on a tree at the end of my garden with iron sights). Really nice piece, I've a crane stock on her so no horrid peq box, although the peq that comes with it is surprisingly less s**t than most. Comes with vert foregrip, barrel extension, and mag (although for some reason the mag that comes with it doesnt sit in without falling out, a bit of tape will fix that but im not bothered as i dont use hi-caps)

As far as the li-po things goes, i dont see the point using them for an insane rate of fire, of course you're going to hit the target if you're spitting out 30 bb's a second.

gerrowadat did a small review of it here

Although mine is a darker shade of gray

The KWA doesn't have a mosfet , i have the defender 4 carbine version , and it looks really nice with the LMT trademarks. i haven't put an 11.1v in it and i don't think i'll bother.
i have it running on a 9.6v and haven't had a single problem with it.

The only thing i have done is changed the hop-up rubber and bucking and got a tight-bore for it because the standard ones are not too good.

Other than that its a nice piece.

here's a pic of the trades ... sorry about the bad quality couldn't find the digital camera at the time.
