Are Cone Filters OK for NCT?

    I'm putting a Starlet GT engine into my Sera and would rather not bother putting the airbox back in, and in fact I don't even have one that will fit. Someone told me today that cone filters will result in NCT failure. Anyone know if this is true?

    They will not fail an nct, just make sure the piping etc is secure.. i have passed numerous cars with cone filters through...

    The Bora passed with a Cone filter.
