If anyone is looking for some cheap, but decent quality, running gear check out the More Mile running clothing on the start fitness website -

    http://www.startfitness.co.uk/

I bought shorts, t-shirts and socks last week and they're very good value. Shorts wouldn't be the best (bet like shellsuit material) but at £6.99 are great value. The t-shirts are as good as any of my brand name technical running t-shirts and at a fraction of the price (£6.99 also)

Quick question Rigal - are you connected with the website in any way?

I've been using them for the last few years with no complaints. The more mile running kit is pretty good value and the quality is comparable with the more expensive brands.
I heard about them in one of the english magazines

i've used the website a lot.The More Mile socks are grand but i would not recommend the t-shirts at all. I got 3 of them 2 years ago and they are much heavier that adidas, when they get wet they do untold nipple damage and even after 10miles+ when it's dry. Ok for 3-5 miles.

I quite like the t-shirts and wear them at all the races, I've even wore them at my last three marathons with no problems.
I also notice that a lot of the UK participants were wearing them as well, more so the vests with club logo on it then the t shirts.

No, not connected in any way amadeus. Now that I think about it I probably should have posted this to the "bargains" forum..

It's a price issue really that I am trying to highlight here. I bought the more mile "roma" t-shirts @ £6.99 a pop and while they're not as good as the established running brands they're not that far off.

I get nipple damage with all my t-shirts (asics/ adidas / ron hill/ new balance) so I just wear plasters all the time anyway. They are roughly a third of the price of an adidas t-shirt and are better than anything of similar price (e.g Lidl - bought one and I may as well be wearing a black plastic bag I sweat so much in it )

Their page on ebay is also worth a look - often some good bargains there that aren't available on their main website.

@peckham +1, I've also gotten good deals from the ebay site. Only gripe about startfitness is I find their delivery times can be slow. It's rare I get something quicker than 2 weeks whereas with wiggle it's often here in 2 days.

have bought a fair bit from start, normally happy enough, they often have sample shoes on their ebay. Website has improved a bit lately but still not up to wiggle standard.
Wiggle delivery is normally better too, but found out last week if ordering a small package from wiggle don't bother with express delivery, took a week to arrive, they ship small/light packages cheap ways anyway.

Purchased from them Tues 18th August, items delivered Mon 24th, so no problems with their delivery time.

Very happy with the products purchased and even happier with the price.
