    Hi Everyone,

Fairly new to the the whole cycling scene and loving it so far. Did a bit on a hybrid a while back and picked up my first race bike a few weeks back from Derek in Humphries, top top bloke!!

Have been out a few times on my own and am kinda itching for some company really! Had a great spin with a group of ladies from Swords Club on Sunday gone and did 89k which was twice as long as I had ever done before!! Well proud of myself. I'm going to continue meeting up with Swords and will join them proper soon and get into some serious winter training but just wondering if there is anyone around the Clonee area willing to let me tag along the odd time and help me come on a bit. Hopefully I won't slow ye down.... The spin on Sunday was at average speed of 25.7kmh so thats not bad, I think!!!

Anyhow... let us know if anyone is around and we can arrange a few meetings!!!

You could go along to a saturday spin. There is talk of organising a few on the northside or you could organise your own on any day you please.

Don't get too disheartened if noone shows up. Only 2 of us went on my spin last Saturday. http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055658263

Cheers for the reply mate. Was kinda gettin disheartened that no one was replying!!!

Will keep an eye out on the forum and see what happening! Really really keen to get going and get some good miles done! Did a good long spin last Sunday with Swords and loved it and hopefully meeting them again on Saturday but someone closer to home for during the week the odd time might be handy as well!

If you change your username to something like this Lance_Armstrong there will be plenty of volunteers.;)

I'm living in Ratoath and could meet up. My only problem is on weekends my kids have football and hurling on Saturday and Sunday mornings between 9.00 and 10.00.

It is a pain cycling on your own alright, so let me know if this suits.

I've been on holidays for the last week so am only seeing this post now.

Sorry, I meant to say I'd be free in the afternoons at weekends if that suits.

    Well Velo!

Cheers for the reply. For the last few weekends I have been out with Swords with there Saturday and Sunday morning groups which has been tough but great. You around during the week at all or are ya 9-5?

    Unfortunately I'm 9-5, 5 days a week.

I had thought about meeting up with Swords or Navan but I'll have to leave it until my kids get a bit older.

I'll keep plugging away on my own and try get out on the odd Boards spin.

    Cheers anyway.

    Vélo.
