Has anybody bought a used reconditioned rear axle for Peugeot/Citroen?
I'm looking for feedback to see if it's a good or bad idea........

    306. common fault on all peugeots, bearings in the axle wear and cause the wheels to camber.......

reconditioned should be pretty much as good as new. go for it.

the bearings aren't available seperately for less?

I've done it. Excellent job. I used to have a Pug 405 that the axle went pear shaped. The millage was 130 odd k and the axle that i put in had 150 k on it but was drilled from new with grease nipples and greased at every service.
Apparently they dry out and ware. A recon axle will be just fine, for the next 100k anyway.
