Windows - where are you going for best deals?

We're getting wildly different quotes from companies (all down south so far) for windows. We're looking for high spec/good U values rather than a particular material and best quotes are for PVC

Best so far is Dalgan and Ard Rí (Galway).
Munster Joinery isn't bad but U Values not as good as others.

Just wondering where others are going?

I've also tried a few up North but haven't found any willing to fit as well as supply - again, has anyone found any companies up North that will fit down here? (We have some large glazing area that we don't think we can do ourselves.)

In this sub forum we are allowing company names to be posted providing there is no connection between the poster and the company involved.

If the N.Ireland companies will only supply..... then are there companies/people that you can hire yourself in the south to fit?

I'm assuming that if the company who sells the windows does not fit them then they would not give you a warranty??

Any one know the craic in this type of situation?

Thanks all for replies and PMs.
Naux - We asked around about getting someone else to fit our windows from here but from what we can gather, it seems to bring the price right up again. And no, there'd be no warranties worth anything on supply-only windows.

I used TJ Grady in Charlestown, County Mayo. No Connection to the company just a satisfied customer. They had the best price and best U value.

Are you located out that area ? Seems a long way to go (or for them to come) for windows.

I'm 70 miles from them, distance wasn't a problem from them. They have several reps and a depo in Dublin also.

I endorse these guys as well, got my Black PVC windows from them and very happy with price and quality...enjoyed the haggle with the rep as well.
They have a distribution depot in Maynooth as well.

    Up Mayo!
