If anyone knows who are the serious companies in Ireland offering to develop software for embedded systems on a contract basis, can they reply with their websites or names? Im trying to figure out who are the main players.

    Tks,
    Owen.

Could try Analog Devices in Limerick

    Check www.analog.com.

Also Intel in Shannon and I think Cisco in Galway might do some embedded stuff.

Seems odd there's not a very long list there, given that 90% of the code written in 2010 will be for embedded systems according to some sources.

Intel, Analog, cisco etc don't offer embedded software development as a service, they develop their own products.

    Thanks anyway.

The Irish Computer Society and the Irish Software Association will probably help you out with your market research. They'll be less sarcastic than us anyway, and they'll have access to more information than we will do.

You could also try Enterprise Ireland and the IDA.

Are you looking to find a contractor for an embedded job or wondering who to apply to for embedded systems work? Its not too clear from your post...

The National Microelectronics Applications Centre is worth a try. They have done embedded projects/contracts in the past - not sure if they still do, but it's worth a phone call.

    website is http://www.mac.ie
