Bicycle shop with a good selection of helmets in Dublin?

I'm looking to get a helmet for the Sean Kelly Tour this weekend(should really have one anyway) but I didn't think the selection CycleSuperStore had in stock was great.

ChainReactionCycles have some nice looking helmets, especially the Met ones, but I think it could be a disaster if I get the size wrong and my head seems to be stuck between the medium and large sizes.

CycleWays have bugger all helmets so I'm wondering is there anywhere in particular with a good selection?

Oh, on a side note, if I were to order from Chainreaction today what are my chances of getting it by Friday??

    Thanks!

surprised to hear you didn't like the cyclesuperstore range as they usually have the high end giro's and bell's in stock which I think look fair tidy, anyway your right about Cycleways as their married to specialized and hence the lack of choice. Don't see any reason why CRC can't deliver by Friday as their usually pretty quick for deliveries to Dublin but if in town drop into Arnotts, their catlike helmets which are some investment at the asking price look mad, i.e. in a good way!

Cyclogical have a stand in the middle of the shop with helmets on. I got one there years ago. Got one since in Wheelworx.

You'll just have to tour around the shops till you find a helmet you like. I'm also surpised you didn't find anything in cyclesuperstore, they seem to have a large array of everything. Did you check online or in the shop???

I was looking around the 60-80 euro mark but if my employer is willing to get it through the cycle to work scheme then I might go higher.

I checked in the shop. There's a fair few out of stock at the moment. Although it always happens, first I think 100 euro is crazy for a piece of polystyrene then I think that helmet is only a little more expensive and it is lighter/nicer looking, then I'm thinking 100+ euro is quite reasonable. Madness!

cycle to work is a single purchase including bike and safety equipment and can only be done once every 5 years so I wouldn't waste it on a helmet purchase alone. you can't make several purchases for the one claim

CRC will courier for free purchases over £50 and you should get it next day if you make the purchase first thing - otherwise the day after

I think they have raised this limit. I have an order coming any minute now, it was €72, I had to add the 24hr delivery charge of €5.75 myself to get it today (wanted it today as I'm going away for the next couple of days).

The bike shop in Arnotts has a Catlike stand might be a bit over budget though.
