Just a thread wondering what Mac users have in terms of hardware, and a little story of how they switched from PC to Mac (if you did, that is):

I currently have the 13" MacBook White, currently going red (discolouration - no seriously). I'm really happy with it. I'm looking to get the 24" iMac for Christmas as it's Sex On Screen.

I was watching over some Youtube videos when I realized OS X, so I saved up and bought my MacBook and never looked back :D

    You?

I've had loads of macs. currently have a 24" ALU. you're right it is gorgeous, I'd buy a 30" tomorrow if there was one!

I actually brought it into the shop yesterday to see if they could do all the dirty work because I had a years warranty.

I only bought it three months ago, and the business collapsed about a month ago (so the shop next door said). How strange is that?

Anyone have the appropriate number to ring to get this fixed?

    Thanks folks

I've got a mac mini, which is currently acting as a Plex-based media centre, pulling media from my Time Capsule.

I've also got an alluminim 15" macbook pro which I use as my main machine.

I was a student living in Japan when I made the switch. Was using a dell craptop and was infuriated by how slow it was and how often it would crash. After a few crashes too many, I dumped it, bought a mac mini and never looked back.

The number for Apple Cork should be in your address book.

15" Macbook Pro (non unibody). Has been my main machine for three years now. Use it daily, for hours on end. Solid piece of kit.

I built an ultra-PC for gaming with Windows 7. I don't touch it if I am not gaming :D

    I love my MBP.

Had a previous gen. Mac Mini (my first Mac :)) and got hooked on Mac OS X using it. Shortly after that, I got a non-unibody MacBook Pro but I have given both those systems to my dad and haven't had any requests for tech support from him since :D.

Got a unibody MacBook when they were first released and that's what I have now but I'm definitely leaning towards getting a 24" iMac on the next refresh too...

I've got a Macbook 13" white. Got it in May 2008 after a long decision whether to go Mac or stay Windows. The final decision was made because of Final Cut Pro but I am so glad I made the switch anyway, I will never go back.

I was actually thinking about getting Windows XP or Vista and sticking it on it using Boot Camp more so just because I can but we'll see :D Anyone have any experience with this
