PM Witnessmenow, he does repairs and may be able to give advice on this or help you out with repairing it :) Think I saw him post that he is going on holidays end of this week.

If you search the forum you will find some posts that may help also.

    Hi Dave(i presume :) ),

Its probably nothign to do with the charging, the reason the orange light doesnt stay on is because your battery is probably full.

Shake your DS, is there a rattle coming from inside it. (the volume slider and power button might shake and make noise so if you hold them or tape them when your shaking it it should stop them making noise)

Its a pretty common problem with DS lites, where the component circled in blue below falls off and needs to be resoldered.

The cost would be €25 + return postage

As IsThatSo? says im going on holidays on Saturday so if you were looking to get it done you'd nearly need to be sending it today, or tomorrow at the latest.
