You can get digisenders which allow you to put Sky into another room BUT you have to watch the same thing on both TVs.

You can send a picture from your sky box via two ways one is usually with a wireless video sender....very unreliable in my opinion.

The second way is to run a cable from the back of the sky box to the other room and use of a magic eye will enable you to change the channel in the other room. However the major drawback is you can only watch the same channel on each tv..

So only way to watch a different channel is by installing a second box..

or a terrestrial aerial to provide the 4 irish channels

or a fta box which will provide you with 6o + channels for a once off fee..

Technically speaking you shouldnt have a spare UPC box as these remain the property of Upc and should have been collected if you cancelled your account etc....

You will not be able to install it yourself as the card in it is more than likely switched off, so you will need a UPC appointed installer to install a second box....I expect this will cost you a €50 installation charge...and your bill would increase by approx €8.50 a month...

Or add Quad LNB and Freesat receivers in 3 other rooms. no sub charges. 40+ good TV and 20+ good radio out of 200+ free TV and 70+ free radio.

You can ONLY get UPC (NTL/Chorus) by subscription. Any other arrangement on cable is Theft.
