    Hi,

I want to connect my laptop to my new plasma TV.
My only option for O/P from my laptop is VGA.
    Plasma has HDMI port.
Therefore, I recently bought a VGA to HDMI cable online and have just received it.

However, when I tried hooking everything up I had no joy. What am I doing wrong??

Apologies if this has been covered before but I'm not the most techie guy here so I thought the more specific I am in my case the better for a clearer answer.

    Any feedback most welcome!

If you havnt you need to do this .(presume you're using vista or xp)

What you need to do is go to the screen properties(right click> properties or right click >screen resolution). and extend the display, then you can set up as wanted.

Im not sure if this will work, or if the adapters do. But it should tell you if there is a second display attached. (Would be display 2)

I did this but there doesn't seem to be any difference.
Not sure if the option for the 2nd monitor is correct...any other advice??
