    This probably doesn't deserve a new thread but does anyone know what the cut off point is to be young enough to play under 21's rugby (in Leinster, if it makes a difference).

    I think I'm too old but I'm not sure and I need to know soon. I haven't been able to find much about it on the internet so I was hoping someone here could help.

    Thanks.

    I thought U20s was the kind of big underage bracket is it not?

    dan it was under 20 but that been done away with and under 21 is the new age bracket.

    Thanks. I agree that it didn't need changing and now I'm really confused because I heard they changed the age but not by an entire year or something like that.

    U21's=anyone born in '89, '90,
    U19's=anyone born in '91, '92,
    U17's=anyone born in '93, '94,
    etc...etc...
    its all changed this year, cant for the life of me think why, but im not complaining, 3 years of U18's/U19's:D:D:D

    The reason that it was changed was to bring things in line with
    A. the area representative sides.
    B. The interpro sides.
    C. The rest of Europe !!!

    Depp is correct.
    2009/2010 season u21s are for players born in 1989 & 1990.

    I think the only country in Europ that has a diference now is England & Wales who use Sept 1st. This is to run in conjunction with their school year which has a Sept 1st cut off point. However, in England like everywhere, their international teams are Jan 1st.
    How did we get 1st July anyway ????

    Its actually FAR better this way. Dont see how you could think it was perfect the other way.
