Thinking of heading up North from Dublin for a new set of tyres for my car.

Anyone got any advice on the cheapest/best place to go?

halfords.ie have a great deal at the monet, 4 set of tyres and alloys will cost you less than €400, it's online only offer, they cost much more in Shops.

Just use camskill.co.uk they offer prices that will not be beaten by anyone in ireland. Will deliver to your front door within two days for a very reasonable price too. I and a lot of people i know use them every time we need new boots.

This crowd does the best deals that I could find. Order online and drive up North to have your tyres fitted.

I agree. Use them twice so far, no harm checking locally though. Make sure you can get a local guy to fit the tyres, and factor in the cost.

Got it a bit cheaper than the tyre price on the web.

    Fitting Stations all over NI.

The better half went to Newry today to get tyres on her car. We pre-booked the car into Kwik-Fit for 8.30 this morning and got four Michelin Pilots 235/45/17 for £495 which works out at approximately €550 at todays exchange rate. The cheapest quote down here for four Michelins came to €900.

Massive savings over the border. I'm sure I may have gotten cheaper for her if I had spent more time shopping around. Of course the €350 I saved was promptly spent by she who must be obeyed. The smile on her face made it worthwhile. I think.
