Mac OS X Server & built-in email services?

Does anyone on here administrate a machine running the Server OS?

I'm looking at running an email server in a LAN, and was wondering what kind of functionality exists in the Server OS, and whether it works well? (the fetchmail and similar functions in the client OS don't work well at all  )
The blurb about email services here is all very well, but after my experience with the client OS, I need an existing user's experience before I risk it.

It's only for a small number of users (about 10-15 email accounts). I was looking at mail server apps that run on the client OS, but when you add up the purchase and especially the ongoing subscription costs for that number of users, the Server OS starts to look more attractive (if it's any good).

    Hi type17

Yeah I admin a few os x servers, I've had some issues with postini & fetchmail after a year of seamless operation which made me switch to Kerio for a client who is very happy, extremely robust and very simple to administrate.

Kerio doens't need the server OS to run, it will run on any mac with os x installed.

i'd agree. kerio is a much more polished solution. it works, no issues and has a gui. have it in many sites and I've NEVER had a problem. period.
