Wouldnt it make more sense to have it on in thurles? Easier for both sets of supporters to get to, better atmosphere, more people will actually go...

Noon?? It should be a stand-alone fixture in Thurles. If they dont want to compromise the Camogie final being on at the same time - have it on the Saturday.

I think the idea was to ensure a bigger crowd at the Camogie final and the camogie powers that be would be very reluctant to move their showpiece out of HQ, and quite rightly IMO.

I was at the drawn u-21 AI between Tipp and KK 2006(i think) and tbh it backfired a little as the u-21 was such a pulsating and exciting game, no-one was really even watching the camogie they were all talking bout the u-21 game even though Tipp were in the camogie aswell.

TBH i think a lot of people would leave after the U-21 match.

You are right - the Camogie final definitely deserves to have the final at Croker. Regardless the GAA should use their heads and move the U-21 Final to Thurles.

I guess it's a money spinner to have two games in Croker? The camogie final should of course be played in HQ. The U21 could be played at a more suitable venue for Clare and KK, but it doesn't follow that it should be Thurles! Birr or Portlaoise are just as convenient.Perhaps even a venue like Dungarvan or Walshe Pk would facilitate Wexford or Cork hurling fans who might like to see the game??

The main people who should be facilitated are the two teams involved - Clare and Kilkenny. Having to travel down to Dungarvan to facilitate Cork or Wexford fans - are you having a laugh? Its the same as travelling to Croke Park.

If it is Croke Park, so be it, it is a final after all.

Anyone know what the odds are on this game? I know Clare were 5/1 before the Galway game.

Clare should be favourites in my opinion, its a good but not spectacular Kilkenny team.

Clare have a lovely balanced team, play great hurling too - would be great for us to win it.

It would have been tough enough before but with Collins and Honan out its gonna be a right uphill battle now.
