The only thing I'd ever refer to as "The Office" in work would be my Company Office.

Certainly never heard the mess being referred to as "The Office".

    What

    .

Any reference to "the office" in my experience is refering to a drinking shop. As in, "you heading to the office afterwards?" as its where most of the bullsh*t is slung around and dealings of the day dealt with.

That or the jacks "Reviewing todays headlines in the office"

It means your taken aside an given a slap or two.Years ago one could expect such a visit to the "Office" if one caught another for a duty particularly a weekend.
