So it's been a year, and I'm looking to buy something a little more serious. So far I'm looking at the Mizuno Shiai Judo Suit. A few of the lads have Mizuno suits and they seem fairly decent but I've little to compare them to.

Generally I'm looking for something for competition and training, around the 150 - 200 euro mark.

I like fighting films the most because that's what I've worn for the last 8/9 years. Alan Martin does them too.

Ah, but I already have a training Gi, looking for something of a bit higher quality.

Best to have a look yourself. i'd consider both of those competition standard and very high quality suits. Next freshers week when you're getting a load of the dan rho basic suits have a look at the fighting films and the mizuno one he has and see how you feel.

I use both Norris and Fight Films and find the Fighting Films Master Gi far, far superior to anything else I've used.

And for your size you'll find it a better fit too, plus in my two there's been close to zero shrinkage, which I can't say for the Norris.

My connection is running very slow here tonight so I can't directly link you to it, but check out the 'gear' section on www.judoforum.com for more info.

I don't think I've yet earned the right to wear something like the Fighting Films Master Gi, if that makes sense. I like the idea of fitting the Gi before buying so I'll probably go with the Fight Films and give Alan martin a call.

If you think your going to stick with the Judo I'd say go the little extra and buy the best suit.

Personally I love the fit of the Fighting Films Master Gi.
