Alternative to Sky Multiroom

Have a sky+ box on the sitting room but would like to but a tv in the kitchen. Analogue reception is terrible so would like to get the channels from the sky (pardon the very bad pun). Is there any cheaper alternative to multiroom? I was looking on the sky website and they seem very expensive. Do local installers work for cheaper?

You could always go for a FTA box or if the budget allows maybe one of the combo boxes such as MVISION HD200 That would give you the basics such as BBC's ITV's CH4 and the RTE's TV3 and TG4 along with a lot more. Once off purchase. Although if your analogue reception is terrible not sure how your DTT reception would be.

+1 on the combo box idea. Only problem is the ongoing uncertainty over DTT. Wouldnt worry too much about the bad analogue reception. Some half decent roof/attic aerial should get you DTT ok

DTT is available nowhere till Maybe Aug 2010. It's tests at the minute. I use an outdoor aerial for ANALOGUE RTE etc. The tests are not a usable service. If your Analogue is bad you may need an new outdoor aerial for DTT anyway, which will give you good Analogue signal.

FTA / Freesat gives all the worthwhile UK channels.
