I've been thinking about getting one for my granddad - he's getting on quite a bit and the voice rec software might be just the thing for him.

My question is this: How easy is it to use? Is it really just a matter of Push App -> Say name?

    Cheers

Hold down the Home Button for 2 seconds and say "Call ______" Although he might have trouble considering that it doesn't always work. Maybe one of the Vodafone Simply phones would suit him best?

It looks super simple on the ad, but... y'know. Not always a similar experience in reality! Mixed reviews on crapyouTube also.

    Cheers lads.

Meh, it's an okay feature. I totally forgot about it for about 2 weeks once I had the 3GS. I thought it would be a nice feature, but to be honest, the compass is something I've used more in conjunction with Google Maps!
