I'm about to head into college and 18 (guy) and I've never had much experience with women. I know a lot of people my age have but i'm just wondering how far behind am i really and if anyone else is in the same boat? Suffice to say i've never actually kissed anyone. I'm hoping that with a new scene and a bit of confidence that i can catch up (obviously without the goal of doing it just to catch up) and head into the game but i know that when you have people who've had years of experience before me i might be pretty easy to spot.

I suppose i kind of ****ed up the beginning of most of my scenes but then when the time came that i felt i was confident enough and was in the right place to engage with people it wasn't so easy to get in. So i'm hoping a fresh start with the opportunity to meet a lot of new people will help out.
    Opinions/experiences and even advice welcome

You're not a 'late bloomer' as such. Loads of people start college in the same boat as you. Don't look at it as if it's an 'issue' or as something that makes you an outsider. You're only 18, it's not a big deal at all. Go have fun in college and just act as though you've got nothing to catch up on! :)

You are NOT a later bloomer.

I know you will laugh when I say I am a lot older than you - so you probably will discount anything I say on this as a result... but I have a son of 17. He is very very good looking and popular with all of the girls in his school. He is cool and into sports.

However he has just not been very interested in girls until about a month ago. He has just now met up with a girl and it is at a very basic and early stage. I respect him for how cool he is about it all.

He has two other friends who are similar. He also has a few friends who have been dating for two years and have had sex.

Everyone is different OP. It is a truism and a cliche because it is true !

Relax and enjoy college. Take it at your pace and don't compare yourself with others. You have a wonderful life ahead of you.

    All the best !!

Relax, your heading to the best arena to catch up and catch up you will my friend :) Don't let it play on your mind - nobody needs to know and nobody will care. Most of the time drinks involved so its not like anyones gonna notice

Enjoy college - your time there is too short to be worrying about stuff like this ;)
