    West Ham v TOTTENHAM - WIN (2.62)

Tremendous value available here, and i'll be tucking in to it. It pains me to say it, but Tottenham are going to have a very decent season. They have the strongest squad in my opinion, with 4 capable strikers in Defoe, Keane, Crouch and Pavlyuchenko and midfielders such as Jenas, Modric, Huddlestone, Lennon, O'Hara, Bentley. Redknapp has steadied the ship after a couple of strange seasons and they look sure to be involved in the Top Six somewhere. They beat Liverpool 2-1 on the opening day before thrashing Hull 5-1 away from home last night. West Ham started the season in decent fashion aswell with a 2-0 win at Wolves but have no depth to their squad. The defence is steady and midfield more than capable but Carlton Cole is the only out and out striker at the club so it's a worry as to where the goals are going to come from. This is by no means a nailed on bet, but West Ham are a better side away from home and struggle in big games at Upton Park and I can see Tottenham winning comfortably, the odds on offer are much bigger than they should be. Get involved.

You make a decent case, there is something about Spurs that puts me off. Dunno why bearing the form of Defoe in mind. They just seem to be a team that'll let you down at the wrong moment. However that said...

    Spurs
    Arsenal ht/ft
    Man Utd
    Coventry
    West Brom (draw no bet)
Notts County v Daggers +2.5 goals
    Rangers
    Liverpool

    63/1 or 7 folds @33/1 or 6 folds @ 22/1

    Arsenal v Portsmouth

This has to be the bet of the weekend for me!
Portsmouth have all sorts of problems on and off the pitch with what remains of their established players - James, Distin, Kranjcar, Nugent now being courted by a host of clubs. These players will see Portsmouth as a team going nowhere and will have their heads turned and I can't seriously consider that they'd be giving their all for the Portsmouth cause to risk injury and then screw up a way out to a secure team! There is also the saga of the club being bought and when it will happen to help stabilise the future of the club.
Arsenal have started the season brilliantly with a 5 v 1 thrashing at Everton and then an equally impressive 2 v 0 win at Celtic in the Champions League Qualifier 1st leg.
The odds are not great however I can't see how Portsmouth are going to stop a rampant Arsenal team.

    Predictions:

    Arsenal -2 HCP @2.50 Paddypower
    Arsenal -3 HCP @4.50 Paddypower

I'd be nervous about the Arsenal HT/FT & for some reason the -1 feels better, at similar odds.

Bolton 2/1 away to Hull is great value, Hull are woeful carrying on from where they left off last season,

Rangers 8/11 away to Hearts, Hearts have had a dreadful start to the season despite only losing three times at home last term.

    Analysis NOT c&p

Hull would have taken a point from Chelsea last weekend were it not for Drogbas 92nd minute winner.
Bolton were beaten 1-0 at home by Sunderland on the same day. As this is the only game they have played sofar, its a bit early to be having a taste on them in an away for me.
Granted Hull took a thumping by Spurs midweek, I'd leave this one alone.
    Expect a gritty 0-0, 1-0 or 1-1.
    Last season results:

    Bolton 1-1 Hull
    Hull 0-1 Bolton

From this Under 1.5 Goals @ 9/4 or Under 2.5 Goals @ 8/11 look reasonable.

^ I think there are too many teams there, good luck and hopefully it comes off but my feeling would be 2 or 3 at least might let it down.

    I went with:

Man City, Boro, Oldham and West Ham at around 11/1 with Boyles..

relying on West Ham to bring Spurs back down to earth, gonna be tough though!

^ If it was me I'd leave out Luton, Coventry, Cheltenham and Bury..leaving it at 6 teams but thats just me, I dont want to jinx you..I'd advise just go with your gut instinct and at the same time even have €2 on the original 10 team bet, just in case it came off at 60/1.

You do realise now if Spurs lose you deserve it :p Just kidding with you mate. Hope you win.

Agree with OP. West Ham seem like a nice bet. 9/4 with Bet365 now.

I would say there are at least 2 if not 3 teams that will mess this up (I hope I'm wrong) ...... in another thread - Tips from a Pro ....(same forum - Gambling), someone mentioned that Coventry may not be a decent bet - as they were outplayed in their previous games and won by luck....not because they were the better team.

I have Boro but also think that their form cant continue - .... and might draw.... I had a look at the favourites for the various leagues - Luton/Boro/west Brom/Celtic .... the chances that all these teams winning is pretty rare..... I picked a number of different bets and have my fingers crossed that I'll at least get my money back - but I'm not hopeful.

one that I did do which I think has a chance is a double of Linfield/Portadown both to win at 1.5s ...both teams at home and normally its the home team that wins (especially with any of the big 3/4 - linfield/glentoran/portadown/dungannon)

I'm not an expert in nordy Ireland footy but since these teams get into the Santa Cup - they are the strongest teams :D

What did you end up doing? I hope you left those 4 out in the end ;)

One for tomorrow whilst having a super sunday down the pub...

Everton (should bounce back from last week's let down and have enough about them to overcome Burnley)
Rangers (Hearts missing their captain and Kris Coyd could be back for Rangers)
Cardiff (seem to be one of the frontrunners for the Championship this year and always start brilliantly to each season)

    €20 pays €134.44

    united
    city
    arsenal
    celtic
    linfield
    crusaders

£20 accum. paid £270 i dont usually so that sort of accum but glad i did now.

Rangers one down and down to ten men.

Spurs look so shaky at the back against West Ham.

Rangers and Spurs both get out of jail. Just Liverpool to let me down now. ;)

Just waiting on the pool myself for a 7 fold to come in...

... i fully expect a 0-0, which will screw over my bet and my FF :(
