Go to easons, buy this book and you will NEVER have to look for an Italian recipe ever again.

This book makes life sooo easy.

Then add this book, and you have classic food covered completely.

My step father is Italian, so from watching lasagne made at home the main difference is add some chopped hard boiled egges to your sauce/meat mix. Don't go overboard on oregano when making you sugo -sauce. Buy fresh pasta they do this in Italy too -not many make their own pasta. Just be sure to make loads so you can freeze some for a later date.
