B4 I was into (Gig) Photography I used to video gigs via a handheld camcorder.
At the recent Rebellion festival I was at I again did a bit of filming and looking back at it now I seem to gave adopted the rules of third to it which I would never have done or noticed b4.
It's like after using a Camera for 18 months it's rubbed off onto my video shooting...a very welcome addition too.
Here is an example, remember handheld and filmed with as many as millions of pints consumed.

Anyone else have similar experiences or maybe even the other way round, Camera to Video?

Well, aesthetics are very similar - whether it be photography, videography or painting, you're still trying to appeal to aesthetics! I've done my fair bit of stills-video-stills-video-stills, and learning from both aids to providing a visual aesthetic to the audience :)
