Another Freeview / BBC question

I've read stuff on a couple of the other threads, but I'm not too familiar with some of the tech jargon. So could someone just clarify for me please?

We have analogue TV with a Freeview DVR - both with very good reception. As from last night we lost BBC2 on analogue when it was switched off (though, strangely, ITV has moved to BBC2's former channel).

But in our innocence, we were expecting to continue receiving Digital Channels as before. However, we've lost BBCs 1,2 & 3. Is this how it is with everyone? Do we just wait until Preseli's switch day next month? Or should we be trying to retune our Freeview?

I'd be grateful for any comment. Thanks.

Retune now, and again when you notice any changes over the next few weeks. You may even see messages on some channels prompting a retune.

As Sesswhat says, do a retune (when signal strength/quality is good) to ensure you have all the channels.

Also, be interesting to know roughly your location... to build up a picture of where the signal is travelling... ?!

Thanks, guys. We're on a hill about 4 miles west of Wexford town -

You will need to do another retune on september 16th.
Thats the day that all the other digital channels move to new high power transmissions.
Co inciding with that all the analogue from presely will be switched off so you will need a decoder for any other tv in the house.
I'm actually getting increasingly confident that there will be no need for freesat given the robustness of the signal on the high power mux.
It's much stronger than the low power ones.
