Upgrade glitch on Dell Inspiron 1525

    Hi all.
    Not a regular visiter to this forum & not very up to date with computers(I'm 41, okay),so apoligies in advance if this has been covered before.

    The machine works okay mostly untill the automatic Windows upgrades click in.

    When it restarts I cannot connect to the net.
    This happens most days & I've been using Systems Restore to reverse the upgrades.

    Tonight the same happened again, so I went through the Upgrade list & uninstalled them one by one & tried to log on.

    I uninstalled 3 security upgrades till I came to upgrade KB972260.
    I then restarted the computer & Hey Presto, Im online again!:)

    Now, I know all this is gonna happen again & I don't want to go thru all this palaver to get online.

    Any solutions?
