    Hello all

As some of you might now
2009 marks the 30th anniversary of the BHAA and there will be a celebration on Saturday 26th September 2009 at the Alexander Hotel, Dublin 2. That’s the same day as our BHAA Half Marathon which starts at 10am, giving you plenty of time to scrub up for a night on the town later. It promises to be a great night and is to mark our place and 30th year in Irish athletics, supported solely by volunteers and you, the runners.

The evening kicks off with a drinks reception, followed by dinner, live music and dancing. And possibly, more drinks! Prizes for the Individual Summer League will also be presented. Tickets will be on sale after each for the remainder of the summer and are a very reasonable €25 each. You can also contact any of the people below to reserve you places and tickets will be posted out to you. There will be a mix of current and past BHAA members, with some of the founding members from that very first meeting in Swords to organise the first Dublin City Marathon.

If enough boards members get tickets we can look at getting you a table for yourselfs

You can buy tickets by going to the home page http://bhaa.ie or PMing me
Tickets are also at sale at the next two races. Zuich and Pearl Izumi
    any problems PM me

If anyone had a spare bit of floorspace for me to throw a sleeping bag on, I could be up for this. Offering designated driver services in return (sometimes it's good to be a non-drinker).

Would love to, but I'll be at the other end of the country getting ready for the Mooathon in Donegal. Can we set up a webcam, and I can have a couple of beers by proxy? :D

I could be interested in this as well.

We want as many BHAA members past and present , but also future. So no you don’t need to be a member but we would like to have as many runners and people into athletics as possible. Athletics in Ireland don’t seem to have too many nights out. It could be a good night to bring someone along and show them the social side of running.

The hotel said 10 per table, but we are meeting them next week to make sure of numbers.

Ok guys and gals a few of us have shown a bit of interest in this, it'll be the same night as the half marathon, so a few well deserved pints. For me one of the aims of Boards AC and the ART forum is to get a healthy social aspect going on and this seems like an ideal opportunity.
Tickets from what I've been told will be on sale at Saturdays Pearl izumi 10k. So what yous think.

    10 per table, I think

    Table 1
    Woddle
