m16 is shoting full auto when on single shot

    hi guys and gals my m16 (m15a1 ca) is firing 5 to 6 shots when it is on single shot is there something i did like oil it too much and its shorting out...

    Oil will not short circuit anything
    Oil is an insulator

    Silicone oil is a conductor, WD40 in in insulator.
    never get silicone oil on your electrical parts.

    being a CA i would say its most likely your cut off lever or the trigger contact. both are cheap parts and easily available. :)
